Visitor Information

Our institute is located in the heart of Hamburg in the lively Grindel quarter - a district which is characterized by the University of Hamburg and is rich in history and culture. Not far from our MPI is the park Planten un Blomen, where it is wonderful to go for a walk at any time of the year. Ideally connected via the subway station Schlump (lines U2 and U3), several bus lines as well as the train station Dammtor, we are very easy to reach from every corner of the city.

Our departments and service facilities are currently spread over four sites:

Connection by Public Transport

On the websites of the Hamburg Public Transport Association (HVV) or in the HVV app you will find timetables, information on tickets and prices as well as other important information about public transport in Hamburg and the surrounding area.
