Biography
The major part of Dr de Lozar's career has been focused on the study of dynamical instabilities in fluids and complex fluids. His interest for nonlinear dynamics already started during the undergraduate studies in Seville. Since then Dr de Lozar has worked in three of the leading centers for dynamical instabilities in Europe: Bayreuth, Manchester and Göttingen. This gave him the chance to work with many of the best scientists in the field. His interests have led him to the investigation of varied systems: liquid crystals, multi-phase flows and turbulence. He is also an expert in several experimental and numerical methods like Particle Image Velocimetry or Finite Element Methods.
