The University of Hamburg offers a large variety of sports activities and travel programmes. The staff of MPI-M and KlimaCampus Hamburg gets special membership prices. Please find the programme at the site of Hochschulsport Hamburg.

Private and public sports and fitness centers are to be found all over the town. Two very popular ones are near the institute, the Meridian Spa and Kaifu-Lodge.

You can practice almost any known indoor sport in Hamburg. Outdoor activities that are very popular are sailing and rowing on the Alster, the lake in the city center of Hamburg. Another option is this: take a blanket and enjoy doing nothing – just sit on the lawns of one of the countless Hamburg parks and gardens and let time pass by.
