Afterburner

The "afterburner" is the standard post processor for ECHAM data which provides the following operations:

  • Extract specified variables and levels
  • Compute derived variables
  • Transform spectral data to Gaussian grid representation
  • Vertical interpolation to pressure levels or height

 

CDO - Climate Data Operators

CDO is a collection of command line Operators to manipulate and analyse Climate and forecast model Data.
Supported data formats are GRIB, netCDF, SERVICE, EXTRA and IEG. There are more than 400 operators available.

 

CDI - Climate Data Interface

CDI is a C and Fortran Interface to access Climate and forecast model Data.
Supported data formats are GRIB, netCDF, SERVICE, EXTRA and IEG.
