About me

I graduated in 2008 with a BE (Honours) in Environmental Engineering and a BA in Sociology and Literature from the University of Queensland, Australia. At the UQ Sustainable Minerals Institute and later at the CDP headquarters in London I helped international corporations to engage with the issue of climate change in connection with their water management.

Dealing with the implications of climate change for industry sparked my curiosity about the science behind it. So in 2013, I seized the opportunity to start my PhD in Earth System Sciences at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology. I graduated in 2017 (with summa cum laude) and have joined the Institute as a postdoctoral scientist.
